As we wake up from a long snowy winter, the feeling of spring greets us with anticipation. Put away the coats, fire up the grill, plant those flowers, and ensure your home is ready with this easy spring home maintenance checklist!

1)
Clean the A/C
: Disconnect power, clear leaves and debris. You may use a garden hose or the brush attachment on your vacuum. Also, vacuum the registers inside your home.

2)
Gutters
: Do a visual inspection, checking for corrosion and loose fasteners. Clear any debris from your gutters and check for proper drainage. If leaks exist, dry them and use caulk or epoxy to seal.

3)
Check Window & Door Screens
: Make sure to patch or replace any screens that have holes allowing bugs to come in. Save the old screen to use for patching next year!

4)
Deck Repairs
: Visually inspect your deck for water damage and other decay. Replace boards that have such damage. Pressure wash your deck and restain or seal if needed.

5)
Siding
: Pressure wash your siding to keep mold from growing.

6)
Attic
: Inspect and test your attic fan to ensure it works when you need it! Check your attic insulation! Attic insulation can sometimes get damaged from animals and storms. Make sure your attic is properly insulated. Adding
insulation
to your attic can help you keep expensive conditioned air inside the home keeping you comfortable during the upcoming summer season!
