Fiberglass Batt Insulation

Unfaced Batts:
Batt insulation that has no backing but can be used in conjunction with CertainTeed’s Membrain Smart Vapor Retarder or polyethylene vapor retarder or for use where no vapor retarder is needed.
Kraft Faced Batts:
Batt insulation with a standard paper backing that reduces vapor transmission
DryRight™ Batts:
Batt insulation with an attached advanced vapor retarder which features pores that open and close under various conditions to help keep moisture out of the wall cavity.

Fiberglass Blowing Insulation – Insulsafe® SP

InsulSafe® SP is a fiber glass blowing insulation used in residential and commercial construction.
Blown-in fiberglass insulation can be used in new construction projects or can easily be added to the insulation you currently have in your attic to maximize protection. (See recommended levels by Energy Star)

CertainTeed’s Membrain Smart Vapor Barrier

Vapor retarders have been used for decades to protect the wooden parts in a roof or wall from moisture damage by minimizing the diffusion of moisture in areas where it can create problems. MemBrain acts like a traditional vapor retarder to protect wall cavities, but also allows closed building envelope systems to dramatically increase their drying potential with seasonal climatic changes.

When the relative humidity increases, as in the summer season, its water vapor permeability increases dramatically. This allows water vapor to escape the wall cavity easily.
